Our Wedding

We have rented an airbnb cabin in Gatlinburg from September 9th to September 16th for us and all of our guests to stay. You are welcome to stay the whole time and enjoy the sights of the Smokies or have some fun at Dollywood. If you are only able to join us for a short time, we are happy to host you for those days.

Travel

Our Story

Despite Tristan thinking Dollywood is a pumpkin farm, it has rollercoasters, shows, museums, and gift shops. If everyone wants to go, we can organize a day to go during the week.

Dollywood

It is a short ski lift ride to the top (no, you will not die like Tristan says). There is also a shuttle if you're chicken haha. They have food, shops, and views. And astra lumina is a walk through the forest with beautiful lights. We would highly recommend.

Anakeesta

I am on a mission to see a bear during this trip so I will be circling this loop until I find one.

Just a step above casual. Girls, pick something flowery, colorful, or patterned. Boys, no jeans. Slacks and button-up shirts. And wear some comfy shoes or cowboy boots. You can always send me any ideas. I'm happy to help.

I wanted to have a spot where everyone could see what everyone had planned for the week. Everyone can definitely do their own thing (every day but Friday) but I figured people might want to coordinate and do things the same days. If you have anything planned and want everyone to know about it in case they want to come, just let me know and I'll add it.

Wednesday, September 9th

During the day, Tristan and I will be running errands and picking up food and drinks in Knoxville. If anyone needs to be picked up at the airport, let us know.Check in at the cabin is 4 PM. In the evening, we were going to go downtown Gatlinburg, walk around, maybe try some moonshine and get some dinner.

Thursday, September 10th

During the day on Thursday, we were going to explore the national park and try and find some bears.That evening we have the welcome dinner at Split Rail Eats at 5 PM.

Friday, September 11th

The Big Day

Everyone will get ready at the cabin. Guests and Tristan will leave and head to Spence Cabin at 1 PM with a 2 PM ceremony time (it is a 30 minute drive). We'll have group pictures after the ceremony and then guests can return to the cabin and enjoy drinks and appetizers. We have a private chef Andrea coming to make everyone dinner that will be served at 5:30 PM. We are also having a bartender to serve drinks. After that, we'll have cake and desserts and just enjoy the rest of the evening.

Saturday, September 12th

We are going to take a 4 hour steam train ride through the Nantahala Gorge in the Smoky Mountains. It is through the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. They have open air cars so you can see the scenery. The train leaves at 10:30 AM and it is an hour and a half drive through the national park to get to the railroad. There is an hour long stop on the trip so you can get a bite to eat or just relax. You can purchase tickets ahead of time on the website. Sunday, September 13th

We were planning on doing more driving and maybe hiking around the national park. A nice relaxing day.

Monday, September  14th

Melanie's Birthday!!!

We're planning on going to Dollywood for the day. Ride some rides, eat some food, and see some shows. Then we'll figure out a place to eat and celebrate Mel turning 21!!!

Tuesday, September 15th

We are going to explore downtown Gatlinburg. Go to the aquarium and Anakeesta in the evening for the Astra Lumina show.
